Searching Man Who Shot in Hayward Police


Hayward police are looking for an armed man who blasts a defeat avoidance safety officer and revolver whipped one more at a Home warehouse Sunday afternoon.
The Home Depot is on Hesperian Boulevard, not far from the Southland Mall. The shooting happened outer surface the Home Garden hub.
The believe was described by police as a light-skinned Hispanic male in his 30s, 6-feet tall, with short grayish hair worn in a tiny ponytail. He was wearing long denim shorts, an black t-shirt, older sweatshirt and white socks pulled up to his knees.
Police said two loss-prevention safety officers who were on duty spotted a man trying to walk out of the stock up with a cart full of tools lacking paying. When the loss avoidance officers approached the man outside the Garden Center, a struggled ensued and the deduce pulled out a pistol and shot one loss prevention officer and used the revolver to strike the other on the left surface of his head, according to police.
The home development store said the man who was shot is still in the hospital. Both safety officers are predictable to get well, according to Hayward police.
At the time of the shooting, the store up was open and full of shoppers. The store closed straight away next the shooting, but opened soon after that.
Shoppers said it was a bit chaotic at the time of the shooting.
"We pulled in just as the initial officer arrived, and there was some frenzied people in the gardening section, and I think the gentleman ran away," shopper Reno Caldwell said. "And when we go into the stock up, we were told that the safety officer had an happening, and apparently, he was shot."
A spokesperson for Home depository said the store did not think its clients were at risk, so it remained open Sunday as the assessment continuous.
The suspect is still on the loose, and he was last seen running across Hesperian Boulevard.
Police canvassed the area for safety demo at restricted business.
